The Royal Enclosure as it's known today was conceived in 1822, when King George IV commissioned a two-storey stand to be built with surrounding lawn. This was designated an exclusive area with access strictly by invitation of the King. Today, this historic heart of Royal Ascot is a centrepiece of the British Social Season.
To this day, membership to the Royal Enclosure continues to be by invitation only. Members can book badges for themselves and their guests, book car parking or sponsor new members.
Badges and car parking are now available to book for Royal Ascot 2020.
